Carolyn Lewens (MFA Photomedia) Advisor

Carolyn Lewens has been on a number of Boards, a Founder Member of CCP, Media Arts Course Advisory Committee at RMIT and a Member of LIP Magazine. She has taught Photomedia at Monash, RMIT & PSC. Carolyn is currently completing a PhD at Monash University in the Department of Art and Design.

Carolyn has curated numerous exhibitions at CCP, First Site, Viscom 9 at RMIT, The Malthouse, Urban Art Tram Shelters, Eckersleys, Horti Hall, The Foundry, Brunswick Arts and The Substation. She jointly established and managed Visibility Gallery and has been an artist-in-residence in numerous schools, art centres, & communities. Carolyn’s freelance photography involved documentary work with various books & publications including “After 200 years” with the Australian Institute of Aboriginal Studies. She has won CCP – best work on an Environmental theme and best work in B&W, 2 Linden postcard award with images printed as postcards. Carolyn Lewens has received numerous national, state and local awards, notably The City of Box Hill Invitation Art Prize Acquisitive Award. She has received several grants from Arts Victoria and Australia Council grants for both her individual art and for collaborative projects as well as for artist-in-residency projects.

Carolyn Lewens' role as Adviser at Off the Kerb is to provide her expert advice in areas of exhibitor selection to business direction.
