Felicity Langthorne Gallery Co-ordinator

Felicity has recently arrived in Australia, leaving her home town of Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK to experience the cultural delights of Melbourne. Since completing her Bachelors Degree in Fine Art with honours at Newcastle University (2006) she has helped found and direct Gallery Glue. The gallery is an ARI based in the heart of Newcastle and strives to be a space that offers a platform for exhibitions, live art events, discussion, training, community exchange and involvement.

Felicity plans to live in Melbourne for the next year and gain further experience working at Off the Kerb and contributing to its growth, as well as developing her own creative practice. She works in textile design and makes costumes for use in film and photography. She focuses on how the body's appearance and movement can be manipulated and distorted through the medium of costume.

Felicity hopes to assist Off the Kerb by helping with the everyday running of the space, contributing ideas for and curating future shows and facilitating in the direction of the gallery.
