Lana Vshivkoff Exhibition Set up and Documentation

A recent graduate of Photography Studies College (Art Major), Lana has joined the artist run space – Off the Kerb as a studio artist. Combined with her own creative endeavors, Lana contributes to the gallery by providing assistance with set up and documentation of exhibitions.

In her own creative practice Lana utilises traditional analogue, digital and experimental techniques creating images dealing with the barrage of information and images through the internet, advertising, media and other technologies taken for granted in our daily lives.

She asks the question – does technology help or hinder our lives. Are we loosing our ability to see the beauty that surrounds our everyday? Are we missing these wondrous opportunities for gazing as we constantly strive to arrive? Our eternal quest for speed and instantaneousity is regressing our ability to gaze in the present and respond to the moment.
